Dear friends,

Would you like to join this Pentecost Retreat on the beautiful island of Korčula in Croatia? Petra and Anil are warmly inviting for this retreat with a focus on Hatha Yoga and meditation.

Friends of Petra have a retreat house there with a spacious 60 m² yoga room, fully equipped with yoga mats, cushions, blankets, singing bowls, and a harmonium. We would like to use this wonderful place to bring together Hatha Yoga and meditation (as intended in Patanjali’s Eightfold Path) and to explore how our meditation changes when we practice the asanas immediately beforehand.

Everyone is welcome*, including beginners in Hatha Yoga. We will practice in a relaxed way and focus each day on a different chakra.

Shared activities include asana practice, Energization Exercises, morning and evening meditation, as well as brunch and dinner on the terrace of the beautiful old stone house.

In between, there will be plenty of time for your own activities: lesson study, swimming at the house beach in Vela Luka (within walking distance or reachable by water taxi), excursions to the nearby uninhabited island of Proizd with its white limestone cliffs and turquoise bays, hiking in the beautiful natural surroundings (pine forests, herb gathering!), or spending a day in the island’s main town, Korčula Town.

Those who wish are welcome to join us after the retreat for a pilgrimage to Medjugorje. In 1981, Virgin Mary is said to have appeared there to a group of village children. Since then, the town has developed into one of the major Marian pilgrimage sites. You can easily reach Medjugorje in Bosnia in about two hours by Flixbus from Split.

At a Glance

  • The cost varies depending on the number of participants, between €250 and €375.
  • Arrival: May 23 in the afternoon
    Departure: May 28 after brunch and tidying up.
  • The best way to travel is via Split Airport. From there, take the shuttle bus to the harbor. From the ferry port, you can reach Vela Luka by ferry in about 3 hours (please do NOT book to Korčula Town, as that is on the other side of the island).

  • The number of participants is limited to a maximum of 11. If necessary, we can also arrange accommodation nearby.
