We would like to invite you to a very special Black Forest retreat from 8 to 15 September 2024.
(Note: the registration deadline is 4 February!)
The SRF Bermersbach Retreat invites us for the first time to participate together as Youth of Golden Age in one of their retreats!
Before, we can spend 4 days in a beautiful retreat house in Biberach (not far from Bermersbach) to have the opportunity for exchange and hikes in the beautiful nature of the Black Forest.
OVERVIEW
The Black Forest retreat therefore consists of two parts:
08-12 September at the Altes Forsthaus Biberach (retreat fee: € 225, children € 150)
12-15 September at the Srf-Retreat Bermersbach (recommended retreat fee: 180 €)
In principle, it is also possible to take part in the first or second part only, but preference will initially be given to participants who can take part in both parts.
Biberach retreat (part 1)
At the Biberach retreat, we will meditate together in the morning and evening, cook vegetarian/vegan meals together and go on excursions and hikes in the Black Forest National Park during the day. The beautiful mountain landscape invites us to experience nature and draw inspiration from God’s green forests, high mountains and restless rivers. We will also have time to connect with spiritual friends before immersing ourselves in silence in Bermersbach.
The Alte Forsthaus Biberach offers 14 beds in double to four-bed rooms, as well as additional sleeping options on mattresses, in tents or caravans if required. There is a wonderful meditation room with a view of nature and a large garden (with some animals and a sauna), which we are allowed to use! In the morning we can greet the sun with hatha yoga and in the evening we can organise kirtans or study Gurujis writings…
Families are also very welcome at the Biberach retreat!
Bermersbach retreat (part 2)
The Bermersbach retreat is a classic Srf retreat organised and conducted by the nuns from Nuremberg. We are very glad that they invite us so warmly and open the doors of this sacred place for us. Anyone who has already been able to take part in a Bermersbach retreat knows the uplifting atmosphere of this house and the wonderful programme, which helps you to immerse yourself deeply in the meditations and silence. The Bermersbach retreat is a silent retreat. You can find a draft programme (which may still change slightly) here. The breaks offer opportunities for walks, studying the scriptures in the wonderful library, introspection and additional meditations.
The Bermersbach retreat has 23 beds in single rooms. We will be served vegetarian food.
Unfortunately, children cannot take part in the Bermersbach retreat. However, families can rent accommodation in the village (there are several holiday flats) and parents can take part in the retreat programme. If several families attend, they can also join together and go on excursions while individual parents take part in the programme.
